Duplex road for Dreamland horses

November 2010 – In Egypt, the construction of ‘Dreamland’ is continuing apace. This development, covering an area of some 2000 hectares, comprises a range of residential and work areas, hospitals, schools, hotels, theme parks, shopping centres and sport complexes. A luxury horse riding school is being built as part of the development. The stalls for the school were hot-dip galvanised by Verzinkerij Kampen and powder coated by Poedercoating Hoogeveen.

Dreamland is on the edge of Cairo, eight kilometres from the pyramids of Giza. The development is easily accessible from the Cairo ring road. When the development is complete it will be home to 40,000 people, and many tourists will take advantage of the hotels and luxury sport and entertainment facilities. Horses are important in Arabic culture and the riding school will thus be kitted out with the best equipment and facilities. The stables, for instance, will be equipped with luxury air-conditioned stalls.

These stalls were designed and constructed by Corton of Kampen. This company is specialized in high-end products for the accommodation and training of horses. Corton stands out from the competition by supplying nothing but the highest quality, making no concessions to safety or sustainability. That is why Corton chose the duplex road for the treatment of the surfaces of the Dreamland stalls. The stalls were hot-dip galvanised by Verzinkerij Kampen and then powder coated by Poedercoating Hoogeveen.
